Punk rock and politics have walked hand in hand since the first chords of the genre rung out years ago. In recent times the relationship has seemed to go by the wayside. NOFX take it upon themselves to rejuvenate the ties with the release of The War On Errorism. With a direct and unconcealed finger pointed at George W. and his administration, NOFX urge the kids to wake up and take notice with songs like, ”Idiots Are Taking Over” and ”Franco Un-American”. The activism doesn’t stop there, they’ve also incorporated a trailer for the independent film Unprecedented (a documentary about the battle for the Presidency in Florida, and the undermining of democracy in America) as one of the features on the enhanced section of the CD! The fun doesn’t stop there, also included will be exclusive animated NOFX videos! Taking a stand on politics doesn’t mean The War On Errorism is completely devoid of humor, and the radical punk hooks and harmonies NOFX have become known for, it’s in there, believe me, it’s in there.
