I Just Wanna Be Held is the first album from the Detroit soul legend, Nathaniel Mayer, and to say that it is highly anticipated is an understatement. The album carries a “classic” Detroit soul sound and features a full band behind Mayer’s everlasting and razor sharp vocals. He still looks good and talks like Miles Davis.

• There are people living today that were alive in 1962 when Nathaniel’s first single, “Village Of Love” (Fortune Records) reached #22 on the Billboard national charts and was a Top Ten hit in the nation’s three biggest urban markets [NYC, LA and Chicago].
