David Usher

For the past ten years, both as a member of Moist and as a solo artist, David Usher has been an enigmatic and exciting figure on the Canadian music scene. His latest record Hallucinations is his most dynamic work to date. His kick off performance of the 2004 Ottawa Citizen Concert Series will prove, as usual, to be a fan favourite.

Billy Talent

Murray is experiencing a modern-day revival of sorts and his appearance on the Tulip stage is a rare treat indeed.

Lennie Gallant

1:00 p.m.
On Canada’s east coast Lennie Gallant is a legend. A respected singer-songwriter with a penchant for glorious melodies and wonderful imagery, Gallant is making a rare appearance back in Ottawa. This wonderful afternoon performance is not to be missed.

Kim Barlow & Shannon Lyon

12:00 p.m.
Kim Barlow is the pride of the Yukon. Her songwriting is inspiringly Canadian with images of mountains, rivers and wilderness running through each and every song. Blending modern day feelings with timeless landscapes has made Kim an endearing Canadian songwriter.
Kim will be joined on stage by Shannon Lyon. Lyon is an incredible Canadian songwriter whose songs pull at the heart strings and engage the listener like very few songwriters can. Sounding a little like Eddie Vedder, and equally like Neil Young, Lyon’s charming baritone provides his songs with a solemn beauty.

Wide Mouth Mason

The Tulip Festival will end with a big, beautiful bash hosted by Prairie Rock N’ Rollers Wide Mouth Mason! Presently they are in the studio working on their newest record, but who can refuse a chance to come to Ottawa and play in the Tulips. Get out for the 2004 grand finale and get out to Wide Mouth Mason!
