Cisco Systems Bluesfest 2004, July 9-18 - Ottawa, ON

The award-winning Cisco Systems Bluesfest, which runs July 9-18 2004 at Ottawa's Festival Plaza, celebrates its 11th year and features yet another stellar lineup for 2004. Headliners include George Thorogood, The Tragically Hip, The Funk Brothers with Joan Osborne and Sam Moore, Bryan Adams, jacksoul, Nelly Furtado, Jimmie Vaughan, Lyle Lovett, Blue Rodeo, Robert Cray, Kathleen Edwards and Chris Isaak.Artists on some of the festival's satellite stages include Taj Mahal, Wyclef Jean, Dave Alvin & The Guilty Men, and Tom Wilson. Once again this year the festival features several stages on-site as well as shows at local venues such as Wakefield's Black Sheep Inn, Casino du Lac Leamy
and the Rideau Centre shopping mall. The festival in prior years has won many prestigious awards including the Lieutenant Governor's Award - Ottawa Arts Council, Readers Choice Award for Best Festival - Ottawa Xpress, Gold Pinnacle Award for Best Event Program - IFEA, and Keeping the Blues Alive Award - Blues Foundation, Memphis Tennessee.
