Insert "Lava", second CD from Shyne Factory, from Halifax. Press play. Flashback. Opening drums & riff imply Kiss, first "Rock and Roll All Nite" (the drums) then "Do You Love Me" (the guitar riff and grungy sound) then the vocals come in and all Kiss resemblances are gone like the last donut at a Jenny Craig meeting...

Production crisp and clean, with no caffeine. Nice crunchy guitars, tight playing, and the smoothest vocals ever... kinda Killjoys meets Doughboys and maybe a bit of Toad the Wet Sprocket, Sloan (also from Halifax) and Foo Fighters in the vocals and melodies... great harmonies, tight arrangements, crunchy guitar with an occasional jangle; what more could a boy ask for? Crank it up! I wanna see these guys play live.
