Last week a letter to the editor appeared in Xpress that chastised me for my review of Steve Vai's latest CD. It's true, I'm not a fan of pointless guitar masturbation and probably shouldn't be passing judgement on this type of "music". So this week I will try to stick with something I know… With little more than three chords, a little Wilco, a little Sebadoh, some sad songs and some songs about being in a band, Four Cornered Night may not cause a rock and roll revolution but it sounds good to me and I've been listening to it lots.
